Janice Mossop

Janice Mossop

B.A. LLB (UKZN) – Managing Partner

Janice joined Browne Brodie in 1985 as an Articled Clerk. She became a partner in 1990 and launched the La Lucia Ridge branch in 2004. Janice became managing partner from 1st March 2007.

Her areas of specialisation are Banking Law, General Civil Litigation, including debt recoveries, as well as matrimonial & family law issues.

Janice is very involved in charity work, has been I.E.C election observer and loves cooking and entertaining. She also loves travelling and is one of the few people to have been on expeditions to both the Arctic & Antarctic.

Andrew Mackinnon

Andrew Mackinnon

B.A. LLB (UKZN) – Partner

Andrew joined Browne Brodie in 1990 as a Candidate Attorney. He became a partner in 1996.

His areas of specialisation are Commercial Law, Litigation and Sports Law.

Andrew is a keen mountain-biker and runner. He has numerous Comrades Marathons & Dusi Canoe races under his belt. He also likes to keep fit to ride his enduro motorcycle.

Raymond Meyer

Raymond Meyer

B.Com LLB (UKZN) – Partner, Notary Public

Raymond joined Browne Brodie in 1974, and became a partner in 1976.

Raymond specialises in Conveyancing, Sectional Title (including Sectional Title Home Owners' Association aspects) work as well as Wills and Estate Planning. He heads up our bond registration and cancellation departments, for both residential and commercial property finance matters.

Raymond likes to keep fit by running (like Andrew, he too has his Comrades green number!), swimming and gyming. He is passionate about old motor cars and motorcycles and has an enviable collection of both.

John Mackinnon

John Mackinnon

B.A. LLB (UKZN) – Partner, Notary Public

John joined Browne Brodie in 1975 and became a partner in 1976.

His areas of specialisation are Conveyancing, Property Development, Estate Planning, Wills and Commercial Law. Over the years, John has dealt extensively with property issues, including transfers, relating to deceased estates, insolvent estates and foreclosures. With in excess of 45 years' experience as a conveyancer, one would be hard pressed to say that he has not dealt with every conceivable property issue in his time.

John plays golf, squash and poker.
